rep. tram nguyen will fight for:
Transit Equity
Freedom of mobility is a core tenant of economic potential, quality of life, and a pillar of environmental justice. But across the 6th District, our communities are being held back by decades of federal underinvestment in public transportation. Transit justice means ensuring that everyone has the ability to get to work, school, or a doctor's appointment, regardless of if they own a vehicle.
In Congress, Tram will work to:
Fast-track the full electrification of the Commuter Rail system to eliminate toxic diesel emissions in environmental justice communities and increase the frequency of regional service,
Extend the Blue Line to Lynn and work with the delegation to secure funding for the long-awaited North-South Rail Link,
Increase federal funding for the expansion and maintenance of dedicated bus lanes, protected bike lanes, and pedestrian-safe infrastructure to safely connect our neighborhoods, and
Deliver much-needed support to small, rural, and low-resourced communities to access federal transportation funding.
