Getting in a car accident or getting sick shouldn’t bankrupt anyone. Tram knows there is an entire for-profit industry built around people’s bad luck or illness, which should never have been built in the first place. That’s why in Congress, Tram will work tirelessly to:

• Transition to Medicare for All,

• Return subsidies to low- and mid-income families, 

• Lower prescription drug costs,

• Codify Paid Family Medical Leave at the federal level, so parents and children can afford to bond, and provide care to one another when they need or wish to do so, and

• Address food insecurity by protecting funding for SNAP, passing federal legislation to guarantee free, nutritious breakfast and lunch for every child in public school, and expand USDA grants to connect local farms directly to community food pantries.
